Mauritius National Botanical Garden

This beautiful garden stretches over acres of cultivated land and is situated close to the Mauritian capital, Port Louis. Created nearly 300 years ago as a private garden by the French governor of the island, it is now a favourite abotattraction. Famous for its eighty-five different varieties of palm trees, there are also dozens of medicinal plants, a large spice garden and giant water lilies to charm your senses. Guides are available at very low rates to help you navigate the more than 650 varieties of plants.
